LPC has also been involved with charity work since 2014.
Under the leadership of Ken Twilley, a charity Pickleball tournament was held in Dorchester,
with a donation going to The Memorial Boys and Girls Club.
In 2015 a club member, Judy Alaskiewicz, was diagnosed with ALS.
To support her in her fight against the disease, and with the stellar leadership of Norene Clancy, LPC held fundraising tournaments for ALS for the next five years.
The success and growth of pickleball in London is due to the hard work of all of our past LPC members. However, we would be remiss in not acknowledging Norene Clancy, Bill Mason,
Peter Singleton and Ken Twilley for their "above and beyond" contributions.
The backbone of any organization is the membership and their willingness to volunteer.
The current membership should be inspired to pay it forward,
for the work of the original members.
